Hong Kong (officially, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) is a fascinating city to take in for the visitor. The name translates roughly, into English as the “fragrant harbor or port”

Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places on earth, which is remarkable when you observe how well-organized and efficient the city of 7 million people is.

For the visitor, Hong Kong can be divided into four unique districts; the New Territories, Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, and the outlying islands. Most tourists will spend their time exploring the areas surrounding the Victoria Harbor, which include Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.

Getting around is easy – explore the street life by foot, take the Star Ferry across the harbor or hop on the double decker trams.
Besides being one of the financial capital of the world and home to more skyscrapers than any other city, it’s also an excellent place to visit as a tourist. A blend of modernity and traditions, ethnic foods, culture, entertainment, and contrasts, you can spend a week in Hong Kong and still feel like you haven’t explored enough of it!
