ITS TIME TO VISIT GHANA.
Ghana is one of Africa’s many treasure chests nestled along West Africa’s Gulf of Guinea. This robust adventure haven is also known for its diverse wildlife, ancient forts, and sparkling beaches.
If you need more reasons to visit Ghana, here are 5 cool reasons you need to explore Ghana soon.
People
The Ghanaian population consists of 30 million of Africa’s friendliest and happiest people. Here, you’ll find a vibrant, multilingual society of over 250 languages and dialects. Among these are Twi, Akan, Ewe, Ga, Dagbani, Dangme and Gonja languages.
Culture
Ghana is pretty culturally diverse and literally houses around 100 distinct ethnic groups. The largest are Akan, Moshi-Dagbani, Ewe, and Ga. Others are Gonja, Kusasi, Abron, Krobo, and Dagomba. Just like in India, Ashanti families are matriarchal because lineages are traced through the mother and maternal ancestors. So, if you’re a Bollywood fan, the odds are you’ll likely fall in love with Ghana.
Food
Ghanaians love to eat and so should you. With a vast array of local dishes – Waakye, Banku, Shito, Fufu, Tuo Zaafi, Kenkey, Jollof rice – you’re up for an amazing foodie journey.
Wildlife
Ghana is dotted with abundant wildlife. Here, you’ll find species of Forest and Bush Elephants, Hippopotami, Crocodiles, Monkeys, Lions, Hyenas, Baboons, Antelopes, Leopards, as well as Buffaloes. Mole National Park alone has over 93 mammal species, and Ghana is home to more than 760 species of birds and an astounding 1000 species of butterfly. Another excellent reason to explore Ghana if you ask us.
Climate
Talk about one of the coolest West African countries and Ghana pops in our minds. Ghana’s climate is mostly tropical. However, you’ll find the eastern coastal belt somewhat warm and rather dry, compared with the hot and humid South-western front. This warm climate is occasioned by Ghana’s coordinates – just a few degrees north of the Equator. Not a bad idea to have summer last all year round if you ask us.
